The children work in groups promoting collaboration. Through the experiential approach, they have the opportunity to practice their observation, to familiarize themselves with each custom of study, with the concept of nature and the past (e.g. discussion about drought and the proper use of water).<\/p><\/div>[vc_empty_space]

<\/i>

The creative process of participating in traditional customs has as its object, the emergence and promotion of cultural elements. Students come into contact with the world of creation (e.g. making a model of a swallow or decorating an olive branch for the custom of Eiresioni) and become aware of human behavior. They value cultural achievement as a product of human collective effort and better understand the importance of cooperation.<\/p><\/div>[vc_empty_space]

The revival of the customs, games and habits of our folk tradition becomes the means that connects the past and history, with the modern social reality (how and why they are revived to this day). The knowledge of the past becomes a driving force for new creation, so that the students themselves become part of the cultural scene and become active and proactive individuals.<\/p><\/div>[vc_empty_space]

Active, experiential participation of children in the revival of customary practices, such as pressing the grapes in the wine press, crushing the olive tree for the production of oil, etc.<\/p><\/div>[vc_empty_space]

Recognize of the importance of protecting and preserving the world cultural heritage.<\/p><\/div>[vc_empty_space]

The enhancement of the student's responsibility, self-confidence, inclusion, personality and ability to adopt positive ways and attitudes of life is achieved through the playful form of customs.<\/p><\/div>[vc_empty_space]

To the goals that directly concern the students we can add the development of skills (e.g. coordination of movements). Socializing and activating them by taking the initiative (e.g. the custom of Kamila (camel) and Divitzi from Thrace where students enter a camel effigy and challenge nature to become productive), in order to be led to self-realization and the production of knowledge.<\/p><\/div>[vc_empty_space]

The psychomotor development of the children is strengthened, their good balance, the physical exercise (e.g. custom of Pyrakamni), their aesthetic cultivation (e.g. they decorate Roussa with branches), the good cooperation and the spirit of teamwork that develops within the group are enhanced.
